Privacy notice

Who is responsible

publicspeakingtips.io is an informational site about speaking in public. Write to hello@publicspeakingtips.io with any question about your data.

What we record

The site never asks for your name, email or any contact detail. To learn how many people visit and which parts they read, it records anonymously: the page you opened, the site you came from, how far down the page you scrolled, whether you tapped a button to the Confidently app, your device's language and operating system, and a random identifier stored in your browser so you are not counted twice. Your IP address is used only to estimate country and city and is not stored in full.

What it is used for

Only to measure how the site is used and to improve its content. The data is processed with Amplitude, an analytics service with servers in the European Union. We do not sell or share data with advertisers.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores two values in your browser: the anonymous visitor identifier and a session identifier that expires after 30 minutes without activity. You can delete both from your browser settings. Ad blockers also stop the recording, and the site works exactly the same without it.

Links to Confidently

The test buttons take you to the Confidently app, on the web or in the App Store and Google Play. From that point on, Confidently's privacy notice applies, not this one.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete any data tied to your visitor identifier by writing to the address above. Because we store nothing that identifies you personally, the surest way to unlink yourself is to clear your browser's local storage for this site.
